My Bio
We have lived in Lake Township for 28 years. My wife, Deanna, and I have three children, who have graduated from the district. Oriana in 2016, Caitlyn 2017, and David 2025. Our children's journey through Lake has taken us where we truly appreciated what it stands for: strong academics, athletics, and the arts programs. We will never be able to show enough gratitude to the faculty and staff of the district for the quality education our children have received, but most importantly, the life lessons they have learned from people that have challenged and inspired them. I have participated in positions as the Lake Band Booster President from 2014 to 2018. And as President of the Friends of the Lake Orchestra from 2021-2024. I am currently a member of the Lake Board of Education from April 2024 to present. We are proud to call Lake our home and are thankful for the many friendships we have maintained since our children were in school. The School District is the heart of our community. I will continue, if elected, to support our faculty, staff, and students to excel in what I believe is the best school district in this county and state.
My Key Issues
Continued Academic Performance
Based on the motto "every child, every moment, every day; we need to prepare our children for success after graduation". Not every child will go to college, so we need to prepare our children where they can be successful in the trades or military service, and have a path of success for the future.
Financial Transparency
Our community and taxpayers need to be aware of how our district is spending money, so there is complete transparency on spending. The school has been efficient and effective in managing expenses. With the State of Ohio cutting money for school districts, it will be important going forward to keep the community aware of the changes in school funding and necessary before placing future school levies on the ballot.
Supporting our faculty and staff
Our faculty and staff are critical to our district's success. We must communicate with them constantly to identify challenges and concerns to make them feel valued and respected. I believe better communication and positive engagement will generate continued success for educating future generations.
Commitment to the District
I believe all board members should be present and supporting the district at events and achievements. We need to support our faculty in what they need to support our students. We have strong PTO/Booster Organizations that need us to be visible and support their mission.
